PERFORMING DOG AT SUCCESSFUL BAZAAR
A successful bazaar was held at the Vicarage in aid of repair to All Saints Church, Tudeley.
The Rev G.L. Lachlan explained that the ancient fabric had suffered from a subsidence during the drought of 1893 and it was now proposed to repair the building thoroughly and also make several desirable alterations in the internal arrangements -- as far the funds would permit.
He thanked Lady Falmouth for her attendance and her ladyship then declared the bazaar open, wishing it every success. The stalls were erected in tents on the lawn and among those in charge were Lady Shaw, Mrs John Finch, Mrs Lachlan and Mrs Woodgate.
The Tonbridge Military Band attended and Mr W. J. Mills gave conjuring entertainment. Mrs Scott exhibited her performing dog.
